Accessing Social and Human Services for People at RiskHave you ever been on a first name basis with a 911 caller?   Do you respond to an “Emergency” and find a person that needs something that EMS is not capable of providing, so you just transport them to the hospital?Do you return to the same address repeatedly because a person needs help, but just does not know where to call?  Is your agency providing services frequently, to an individual that really needs in-home assistance or other care? If so, then this is the class for you! We will delve into the world of Community Paramedicine, Social and Human Services and discuss methods that EMS can utilize in helping at-risk individuals obtain the appropriate help they need.
